It’s one of my favourite times of the year (after Christmas obviously), and no I’m not talking about summer, as lovely as that is. I’m talking about the Zara summer sale. That’s right, I’m one of those losers that puts the date in the calendar, but what can you do? So I was obviously in there the first day, ready to grab a bargain, and that I did.
I wasn’t looking for anything in particular so went it with an open mind, which makes shopping the sale a lot less stressful if you ask me. This brush stroke dress was one of the first things I saw, and there was only one left in my size. It was meant to be! Plus at £35, a lot cheaper than the Chanel version.
Sadly, their white ‘stressed, but well dressed’ clutch has been sold out for ages, so there wasn’t any chance of it ever being in the sale. But luckily I got invited to a Dorothy Perkins press day to customise a similar party clutch. We were given glue and letters and left to it. I panicked slightly and ended up googling ‘fashion quotes’ and picked this 50cent-inspired slogan. But I think it looks ok, it’s not like anyone was expecting Shakespeare or Proust anyway.
I got the shoes from Zara on my way to San Francisco and they are the perfect heeled sandals that go with anything. Even though they are slightly uncomfortable. Oh well.
