Going crazy for embellishments

I’ve got a bit of a thing for embellishments. Which is a gross understatement really, I’m obsessed. To the point where I have more blingy items in my wardrobe than plain ones. But what can I say? I’m in love.

My latest find is this beaded sweatshirt top from H&M. A Dolce & Gabbana vibe for the modest sum of £29.99? I was of course sold. There are two ways to wear embellishments. Either with plain items of clothing for a more understated look. Or with other jewelled pieces to go all out. I opted for the latter and teamed it with a skirt in a similar material, also from H&M. If you haven’t been there in a while, I seriously recommend it. They have some great pieces for Autumn/Winter 2014.

I’ve been meaning to try out the stacked rings trend for a while after spotting it on a few friends. I usually tend to go for a statement necklace and nothing else, so I was ready for a bit of a change. Cue Z for Accessorize, a cool new range of delicate gold-plated rings, necklaces and bracelets. I went a little bit crazy and got a few pieces – most of it is priced at £15 for a set of rings or bigger item, so it’s not cheap, but worth it given the quality. A great cheaper alternative to Monica Vinader and the like.

Because the rest of my outfit was so, well, bling, I went for some simple footwear, minimalist suede sandals from Office. They do have a sparkly heel though. You know me 😉
